My cousin Mark came to me with an idea, “Why not grow weed in Zimbabwe? It’s legal now!”
Excited at the prospect of getting into a new business venture, I dived straight into it. Mark and I go on the hunt for Canadian and American partners. While Mark’s cousin Gavin and partner Yanus go after a Danish company who are offering boatloads of cash for a collaborator.
But, as usual, there are bumps in the road, namely the Zimbabwe government halting growing applications.
After three months, I’ve decided to pull the plug. As they say, “Kill your darlings.”
I shed a momentary tear, and decide to truck on. Hopefully, I meet someone keen to dig into this industry.
