Ingredients
- Ground-up cannabis (check out the ultimate grinder here)
- 1 packet of bacon strips (choose the option with the most fat)
- 3 eggs
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 slice of tomato (if you’re into that, the person who wrote this is not)
- Baked Beans
- 1 Pork Banger
Cooking Equipment
- Baking paper
- Baking tray
- Frying pan
- Spatula
- Grinder
- Ardent Nova Lift Decarboxylator (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 110 degrees Celsius. Don’t set the temperature any higher than this. The THC will lose its potency if you decarboxylate at too high a temperature.
Decarboxylate your weed.
The purpose of this step is to convert non-intoxicating THC-A into THC. We want to get high this morning, right? Place your ground up weed on baking paper in a baking tray and put it in the oven for 45 minutes.
Now it’s time to cook that bacon, baby!
After you’ve decarboxylated your weed, remove it from the baking tray and place aside. Place a fresh sheet of baking paper in the baking tray and pack the bacon strips from one packet across the tray. Sprinkle the ground up, decarboxylated weed over the strips, but be sure to use only half! You’ll need the rest for the other side.
Place the tray in the oven and cook until the upward-facing side is nice and crispy. Remove the tray from the oven and flip the bacon strips. Sprinkle the remaining half of the ground up weed over the bacon strips. Place it back in the oven and bake until crispy.
Weed101: How does this work?
The cannabis is infused into the fat that is excreted by the bacon as it cooks in the oven. When the bacon is cooked to the desired crisp level, remove it from the oven and place it aside.
You’ll notice that there is quite a lot of bacon fat left in the tray. If you’ve never truly understood the meaning of upcycling, this it it. Take that fat and use it to sizzle up your pork banger and scramble your eggs. And just like that, your English Breakfast has three cannabis-infused components!
Add baked beans and tomato
Add baked beans and tomato for good measure, along with your cannabis-infused goodies and serve! If you still have some leftover fat after cooking up your bacon, sausage & eggs (in which case, snap! Let us know which bacon you used), toast your bread and dip that baby in the remaining cannabis goodness.
And there you have it! Your cannabis-infused Full English breakfast is ready to serve.
No Full English is complete without a cuppa Joe, though. This fry-up is best enjoyed with a cup of CBD coffee from the Healthy Coffee Guy, available at Zootly, in-store or online!
