And just like that, the Zootly Cannabis Cup, South Africa’s Greatest Cannabis Growing Competition is underway.
Now that we have the official numbers, we can share with you that 86 growers from across South Africa have signed up, and you, the cannabis growers, have decided that the most popular Presidents Seed strain is Gelato bin Laden followed by Trump’s Cookie Jar and the Royal Wedding Cake.
Don’t ask them (the Presidents) how they feel about this as they’re sure to start throwing shade around. And shade isn’t something growers of South Africa need right now, they need all the light they can get.
“We’re stoked that so many growers have decided to share with us their experience and showcase their skills,” says Chris Landman, Co-Founder of Zootly, “Dare I say it, this is their opportunity to step into the light!”

What’s Up For Grabs In This Cannabis Cup?
Just to remind you what is up for grabs here, other than claiming you’re South Africa’s Greatest Cannabis Grower (with the cup to prove it). First place will win an amazing California Lightworks SolarXtreme 500 rig, worth R12 100. The runners up don’t go home empty-handed, as 2nd place gets a R2 500 voucher from Zootly, and, 3rd place wins a R1 100 voucher from President Seeds.
