420 Friendly Spots In Cape Town

Hoot hoot 420 fans, your favourite feathered friend is here to let you in on some new secrets – the top 420 friendly spots in Cape Town.

Thanks to the legalisation of cannabis in South Africa (hoot hoot, hooray!), it’s become a lot easier to light up. Technically, public consumption is still illegal so keep that in mind on your adventures. Anyhoo, here are some of Zootly’s favourite places to adventure in Cape Town.

Take A Hike

We mean this in the literal sense – pack a snack, catch a sunrise or sunset, and create your own clouds. Maybe it’s a quick one, two step up Kloof Corner to welcome in a new day. Or maybe, perhaps a Cape Town staple like Lions Head. Fortunately, we live in a city with a seemingly infinite amount of scenic walks and hikes. So, make sure to take advantage of that where you can. If you’re unsure of your options, skim through our blog on Hikes for Adventurous Stoners.

A quick note to all of our outdoor enthusiasts, please be responsible when it comes to lighters, embers and any kind of fire. Cape Town doesn’t need any more wildfires. If you haven’t explored alternative devices just yet, have a look at our range of vaporisers

Hit The Beach

It’s no secret that Cape Town is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches – um, hello Clifton?! Set up an umbrella, pack a cooler box of refreshments and soak up some sun .

If you’re worried about being dubbed as puffy the vampire or puff the magic dragon, perhaps an edible treat for this occasion? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered there too – have a browse.

Scenic Sunsets, Anyone?

We get it, it’s winter and maybe a little chilly for a hike or to lounge on the beach. But you know what doesn’t change in Cape Town’s cooler months? The epic sunsets.

Grab your crew and head up to Signal Hill to watch the day fade away in a haze of vibrant red, orange and yellow – the ultimate trifecta. Other options include grabbing a perfectly placed bench on the Promenade, taking a drive to Blouberg, hitting Saunders Beach boulders or nabbing a prime spot on Bali Beach. Honestly? The sunset is beautiful from anywhere.

Drive It Out

We know everyone loves a road trip, so why not make a mini roadie with your best mates? Get an epic playlist together, roll down the windows and let everyone wonder if your engine is about to combust or if it’s just you indulging in the Cape’s finest cannabis.

Cruise along Chapmans Peak, stop in for a beer at the Aegir project (none for you, designated driver, sorry!), and pick an epic spot like Silvermine to have a lekker afternoon spent by the dam. Whether you choose to be blunt, play bong pong or snack on some ‘special’ treats, it promises to be a solid day out.

In summary, technically everywhere is 420 friendly in Cape Town if you know how to play your cards right. These are some of our favourite spots, but we want to hear from you so drop us a DM on Instagram with your latest 420 adventures!
