South African Cannabis Holiday Recipes!

It’s officially the silly season in South Africa and that means one thing for Zootly – Holiday Cannabis recipes!

As we all know you’re going to create many massive feasts, where you’ll need to prepare three courses.

Before you get all up in that grill! Make sure you’ve made the basic cannabis ingredients before hand. These include:

After reading through these, and getting the gist of decarboxylation, any highly fatty food will absorb THC… SO YOU’RE READY TO GET COOKING!

And we apologise for this lengthy run-up! Here are the recipes!

Cannabis Holiday Santa-Berries!

Bloody adorable! What you’ll need is:

  • 200ml cannabis infused whipped cream;
  • A punnet of strawberries;
  • And chocolate sprinkles!

And now the steps are pretty simple.

Just cut off the tip and hollow out the strawberries. Add the whipped cream into said hole, carefully, and don’t add too much cream as the hat tends to fall off!

Now, pop the hat on top, use the chocolate sprinkles as eyes, use the cream for buttons (using a toothpick can help) and place a tiny blob on top for Santa’s pom-pom, and you’re done.

Look at that amazing first course nibble.

If you can’t be bothered, why not just stuff your face with Zootly’s CBD chocolate! All you have to do is unwrap it.

Now, for the main course.

Canna-I-Get-A-Lobster-Beef-Fillet?

Cannabis Holiday!

Short answer, YES! YOU CAN! And no, we are not affiliated with the man from Parow. But we’re sure he’d love an Eyce Beaker.

Right! The recipe! Sure, what you’ll need to braai a Lobster and Beef fillet is:

  • 1kg thick beef fillet;
  • 2 small lobster tails;
  • 5 cloves of garlic, crushed;
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon and black pepper seasoning;
  • 100ml cannabis olive oil;
  • 100g cannabis butter;
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice;
  • AND toothpicks!

To get things going you’re going to want to steam or parboil the lobster tails. This should take around 3 minutes, and they should be cooked. Now de-shell them.

Once they’ve been released from their crustacean casing, you’ve going to want to cut the tails in half and de-vein them!

Then, it’s time to butterfly the fillet, AKA, cut that thick beef fillet in half!

Now, melt your cannabis butter, then mix in the cannabis olive oil and season the mixture! This means throwing in that crushed garlic, lemon and black pepper seasoning, and lemon juice.

Here comes the exciting part, placing the lobster along the centre of the butter-filed fillet.

Jesus, take the wheel, I can not handle how delicious this is!

Baste that sucker generously with the mixture. Fold the fillet over and seal with the toothpicks.

Put this amazing creation onto the braai at a high heat! Seal the outside! Turn it a lot. Then once sealed, only place back on to the fire once it is cooled off and then slow cook it until happy!

  • 4 tablespoons of canna-butter;
  • 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar;
  • 1/2 cup of flour;
  • 1 egg;
  • And a pinch of salt.

To kick off this off, make sure to heat the oven to 180°C!

Then, combine all the ingredients in a large bowl! And then stir that batter until smooth.

Now divide your dough into balls and press them down on a baking tray. Make sure to have baking paper down. Cause – YOUR MAMA RAISED YOU BETTER!

Once you’re ready, stick that tray into the oven and watch until the edges of the cookies have changed colour slightly. This should be 8-10 minutes in.

And the last step is to remove them from the oven, and let them rest for 15 minutes. The cookies will firm up while they’re cooling down.
